What we are

A UK directory and marketplace for tradespeople. Two flows: search the directory and call a tradesperson direct, or post a task and pick from the offers. Either way, the conversation moves to you and the tradesperson, with HeroTasker out of the way.

What we are not

We are not a payment processor. We don’t hold your money or theirs. The money flows directly between customer and tradesperson, on whatever terms the two of you agree.

We are not a regulator. We don’t verify qualifications, insurance, Gas Safe registration, NICEIC, or any other credential. Tradespeople list themselves as competent; customers verify before booking.

We are not a guarantor. If a job goes wrong, see what we do and what we can’t.

What’s different about the pricing

Free today for both sides — and the core flow will always be free. Customers post tasks and search the directory at no cost. Tradespeople list, browse jobs, and bid at no cost. We don’t charge a subscription, per-lead fees, or commission.

We may add optional paid extras later (priority placement and similar), and we’ll be upfront if and when we do — see the pricing page for the current state.

What’s different about identity

When you view a tradesperson’s profile, you see their full name, their business, their base postcode, and the radius they travel. If they’ve verified their phone via SMS, a green tick appears. No anonymous bids, no “Pro #1234” — the person picking up the phone is the person on the listing.

What’s different about contact

Once a customer accepts an offer, the tradesperson’s phone number is one tap away and a private chat opens on the task page. You decide where the conversation lives from there. HeroTasker doesn’t insert itself into your relationship after the introduction.
