About HeroTasker

HeroTasker is the simplest way to find a tradesperson in the UK. Pick one of two paths — search the directory and ring someone direct, or post a job and pick from the offers. Either way, the conversation ends up between you and the tradesperson, with us out of the way.

Every contractor on HeroTasker shows their full name, their business, their base postcode, and how far they travel. Once they have verified their phone, you see a small green tick. It is not a score out of five; it is a sign that a real person is on the other end of the line.

We take no cut. We charge no commission. There are no monthly fees and no lead fees. Posting a task is free for customers. Listing a business and bidding on jobs is free for tradespeople. We may add paid extras later — priority listing, extra storage, things like that — but the core flow will always be free. See the pricing page for the short version.

We are a directory and a matchmaker, not a payment processor and not a regulator. We do not hold money. We do not verify qualifications. Once you are talking to a tradesperson, the agreement is between the two of you, exactly as it would be if you had asked a neighbour for their recommendation. We help with the introduction. The rest is on you both.
